    Master's Thesis

    Field of Study: Shia Theology

    Dissertation Abstract:

One of the well-founded beliefs of Shia is that the Messenger of God appointed someone after him as his successor. There are countless proofs in the Holy Quran and in the Prophetic tradition to prove this claim. One of the important evidences regarding the authenticity of the Ahl al-Baytb, or more correctly, the authenticity of the leadership of Amir al-Mu'minin Ali bin Abi Talibg, is the correct and frequent hadith "Manzlat", which compares the Messenger of God Ali bin Abi Talibg to himself as to Aaron and Prophet Moses. The distinguishing feature of this hadith from many other hadiths is that it was narrated by Bukhari and Muslim along with other narrators, and in the so-called Sunnis, they both agree on this hadith. The main question in the upcoming research is whether the Hadith of Manzlat indicates the immediate Imamate of Ali Ibn Abi Talib after the Prophet. This hadith indicates the imamate of Amir al-Mu'minin in several ways. Considering the emergence of the false sect of Wahhabism and the creation of doubts in the Qur'anic evidence and the authenticity of Imam Ali's imamate, including the implication of this noble hadith on the immediate imamate of Imam Ali, it should be stated and some of the doubts raised by the Sunnis regarding the meaning of the hadith should be answered. Opponents, Doubts.

    Introduction

From the definite hadiths of the Shia and Sunni scholars, which shows the high position of the Commander of the Faithful and expresses his Imamate and caliphate, the hadith of Maslat is the most important. This honorable hadith has been recorded and remembered in the oldest hadith, historical, and religious writings, followed by theology. In this hadith, the Prophet refers to the status of Aaron for Moses, and the Almighty God said through the words of Moses: "Moses said to Aaron's brother, I am the last in the tribe, and righteous, and do not follow him." Al-Mufseddin" [1] And he said: "And make me a minister from the family of Harun, a brother, who is a slave to Azri and a partner in the matter of whom I will praise you a lot and remember you. [2] And he said: "And the brother of Haroon, he told me with my tongue, so he sent me with a truthful denial" [3] and other verses like that. Therefore, the Hadith of Manzlat proves all these situations that have been proven for Hazrat Haroun in relation to Moses, and for Amir al-Mu'minin in relation to the last of the Prophets, except for Prophethood. So this hadith is another definitive proof of Imam Ali's immediate imam after the Holy Prophet and one of the most important virtues of Amir al-Mu'minin and one of the decisive proofs and strong reasons for Imam Ali's succession and imamate.

This hadith is extremely accurate, stable and famous, which was narrated from the Prophet in a most authoritative manner, but also frequently. Even Bukhari and Muslim, who always try to cover up the virtues and virtues of Amir al-Mu'minin, have quoted it, and following them, other Sunni muhaddiths also agreed on it and included it in their Sahih, Musnads, and communities. However, the Sunnis, after they failed to distort the hadith of Mazlat in terms of the chain of transmission, raised objections and raised doubts about its reference to the immediate imamate and caliphate of Imam Ali after the Holy Prophet and tried to question the meaning of this hadith.

In this research, the hadith is examined in terms of the chain of transmission, its narrators, and its methods, and then the implication of the hadith on the imamate and caliphate of Imam Ali is stated, and in Finally, we answer some of the doubts raised in the meaning of the hadith.

    Statement of the issue

One of the authentic and well-founded beliefs of the Shia religion is that the Messenger of God introduced his successor for this divine religion to the Muslims by the command of God, and took the oath of allegiance from them for the caliphate and successor of the Commander of the Faithful, Ali, and completed the proof of God for everyone and fulfilled his mission in the best way. Yes, the Prophet of God performed his mission and mission in the best way and introduced his successors to the Ummah and took their allegiance.Such were the words of the Prophet about Hazrat Ali and his virtues and virtues. Most of these words emphasize the fact that in the great book of God, fixed principles are stated about the positions of Hazrat Ali. For example, when he said in Ghadir Kham: "I am the first among the believers, I am myself" - he referred to this blessed verse when he said: "I am the first among the believers in myself" [4]. Then he says: Now whoever I am his master, this Ali is his master.

One of the reasons for proving the Imamate of Imam Ali is the correct and consistent hadith, which is found in many hadith, historical, and commentary books. Shia and Sunni religions exist, and a significant number of them are correct from the point of view of Shia and Sunni religions and are considered frequent hadiths.

Shiite scholars have always believed that the hadith signifies the caliphate and Imamate of Imam Ali. However, with the emergence of the Salafist sect, they have again criticized the source and content of this hadith. In this treatise, we have discussed the source of the hadith and criticized the objections of Salafism, and in terms of content, we prove that this hadith is able to prove the Imamate of Imam Ali, and the objections of Ibn Taymiyyah and, accordingly, other Sunni scholars are not included. Sunnis admit that this hadith is reliable and they have not raised objections or criticisms in its chain of transmission, but they have raised doubts about its proof of the caliphate and Imamate of Imam Ali. Currently, the sect of Zalah and Wahhabism is busy spreading doubts about the religious issues of Shia religion, including the guardianship of Imam Ali and attracting young people to them. Therefore, it is necessary to give appropriate answers to their doubts in all religious fields, including this noble hadith, because the discussion of Imamate by Shia scholars has always aroused the sensitivity of the opponents to the extent that it has led to killings. Therefore, today, some consider addressing the issue of Imamate as a cause of tension and disturbance in the matter of peaceful life among Muslims and they believe that raising this controversial issue should be avoided. But it is very clear that the research about religions and the arguments and opinions of each religion is one of the ways to approach the viewpoints of different religions. As a result, the discussion and opinion about the disputed issues is to clarify the facts, which no one can doubt its necessity and importance. Research Objectives The purpose of this research: 1) To prove the immediate imamate and caliphate of Imam Ali after the Prophet is in the hadith. Doubts have been raised about Imam Ali's caliphate, in this research some of those doubts will be raised, and by answering those doubts, we will prove the evidence of the authority of the hadith on Imam Ali's caliphate and the caliphate.

    The main question

The most important question in the upcoming research is:

Is the authority of the authority of Imam Ali after the Prophet of Islam?

    Sub-questions

    1) Is the hadith of Manzlat narrated in Sunni sources and is it frequent? What are the ways of its expression?

    2) Is the ministry, caliphate, and emirate of Aaron - which is similar to it - also proven for Imam Ali?

    3) Does this hadith testify to the superiority and superiority of Imam Ali over others?

    4) Does the hadith belong to the lifetime of the Messenger of God or does it include after that?

The main hypothesis of the research

The main focus of the research is that the hadith of Manzlat is a valid reason to prove the imamate and caliphate of Imam Ali after the Prophet.

    Subhypotheses

    1) The hadith of Manzlat is a series of hadiths that have been narrated in both Shia and Sunni sources, and there are many cases where it was issued.

    3) This hadith is not specific to the life of the Holy Prophet and it also includes after his life.

    Research background

The first article in the research background is a comparative study of the hadith of Manzlat from the perspective of Ahl al-Baytb and Ahl al-Sunnah religion, written by Ilqar Ismailzadeh. (Research Journal of Islamic Wisdom and Philosophy, Vol. 25, 1387) In the first chapter, he mentions the sources of Manzillat hadith and cites five of the sources of the Ahl al-Bayt religion, and then looks at the hadith of Manzillat in Sunni sources and describes seven narrations.
