    Introduction

If we consider the last century as an era of extraordinary progress, it is not an exaggeration. In this era, humanity has opened a new door to itself with inventions and initiatives. Certainly, the development of human consciousness has started with the help of science and research. Today, physical training and sports have been able to undergo fundamental changes with the benefit of various sciences, and now a world of knowledge in this field of science has been presented to mankind. Sports and physical training as a cultural and social phenomenon in human life is so important that most of the countries of the world consider it as a necessity of life. Since physical education and sports gained its independence in various sciences, it was researched as a science and played its role in the basic issues of society such as education and training, medicine, cultural issues, etc. (11).

The treatment of back pain, its rehabilitation in the shortest possible time, is a great and old wish, but good luck has not yet been achieved for health professionals, so that back pain is remembered as a health disaster of the 21st century. has been Also, 80% of people experience back pain during their lifetime, and about 80% of problems related to the spine occur in the back area, among which chronic pain is considered as one of the most important medical problems around the world that seriously affects people's quality of life (26). to overcome, but changing the way of life and the industrialization of societies and the subsequent transformation of physical work into intellectual and administrative work, increasing the working hours of people, poor physical condition during work, improper diet, lack of enough rest, increasing mental stress, environmental pollution and so on. It has caused mankind to face new problems; So that the statistics of cardiovascular diseases, rheumatism, cancer, accidents, etc. There has been a significant increase in the world compared to the past.

Among these diseases, spine problems, especially chronic back pain, have the highest rate, the main cause of which is the change in lifestyle from being active to being sedentary and sitting at a desk and not matching the correct posture with this type of life (12).

Feeling pain and discomfort in the lower back, a common symptom of many diseases It is skeletal and non-skeletal, which has a high prevalence in societies and, as mentioned, includes between 80% of the world's population. Most of the patients with acute back pain, who have a muscular and skeletal disorder that recovers on their own within one to four weeks and do not need special treatment. However, medical evaluation should be done to find cases that are important or require immediate medical action. Many of these pains become chronic for various reasons and accompany the person in many stages of life (12).

Due to the high prevalence of back pain in society and its heavy costs, treatment Various methods have been provided for it, which are in a wide range from absolute rest to various surgical methods (2).

Although rehabilitation and treatment methods have made great progress, these programs are expensive and time-consuming. Among them, hydrotherapy has found a special place. Despite the wide variety of water therapy methods, there are still no sufficient reasons regarding the superiority of one method over another (12).

Water therapy exercises have been the basis of treating various types of back problems for several years, regardless of the diagnosis or the patient's main complaint. Since hydrotherapy exercises have a special place in the treatment of patients with chronic back pain, and on the other hand, one of the most important goals of researchers is to find a suitable treatment method, the researcher intends to use the study of different hydrotherapy methods to deal with the specific exercise protocol of the elderly (26). style="direction: rtl;"> Back pain is recognized as the main cause of disability and absenteeism from the workplace worldwide.

    Statement of the problem

Back pain is known to be the main cause of disability and absenteeism from work around the world. Approximately 60% of this disease is re-infected within a year after the first infection, and approximately 45% to 60% of this People experience back pain repeatedly. (10).

Chronic back pain is the second reason why patients go to the doctor. So that about 84% of people experience it at least once in their lifetime and it has made almost one percent of the world's population disabled during their lifetime (12). For this reason, the society spends a lot of money to diagnose and treat it.

This disease is one of the common complaints of patients in clinical medicine, which is caused by daily work and activity and is considered as one of the debilitating injuries of the body structure. (14).

One ??of the reasons for back pain is the low threshold of feeling pain as an underlying factor in its chronicity. In a study conducted on the American elderly population, it is estimated that 2% of the American population considered occupational injuries to be the cause of their back pain. Considering that one of the basic problems is chronic spine pain (10).

Although the onset of back pain is usually associated with mild and limiting pain, it imperceptibly affects some people severely. So that about 15% of patients with back pain become permanently disabled. But there are many different ways to treat it (12).

Other common causes of back pain is the change in the curvature of the spine in the lumbar region. This discomfort is mostly caused by the weakness of the muscles in the lumbar region. With the weakening of the muscles in this area, the spine that is maintained and supported by these muscles is put under pressure, the factors that maintain the arch. The back changes (11). In this context, a group of researchers, including Williams, considered the increase in the back arch to be the main cause of back pain and suggested reducing the size of the back arch for treatment (14). Considering that the treatment methods for back pain are rapidly diversifying, in the field of chronic back pain, one of the main goals of researchers is to find a suitable treatment method for each of the groups suffering from back pain. In the meantime, the role of water therapy can be mentioned as one of its effective ways. Attention to water therapy is a very important issue that has been strongly noticed by thinkers all over the world in the 21st century (14). In this regard, we can mention the role of water therapy in improving the function of chronic back pain Considering the undeniable role of the effect of water in improving joint and muscle pain in the elderly, we can refer here to a research conducted at a university in Brazil that included the favorable effects of water therapy on chronic back pain. The results of this research showed that during 27 one-hour sessions of physical exercise with photography, there was a significant correlation in the improvement and reduction of pain in the elderly(23). Also, Hayden2 et al. believe about the effect of hydrotherapy exercise on back pain, that doing more exercises is more effective and even considered it more effective than any other therapist. (26).

Also, what Anna et al.3 found, the water training environment has more effect on the biomechanical characteristics of elderly walking than the dry environment(39). It also shows a significant reduction in the height fluctuations and balance of elderly women due to balance training in water, and due to water-like characteristics, hydrostatic pressure as well as immersion increases the possibility of proprioceptive feedback and creates a stronger sense of stability.
