    Abstract

The culture of an organization causes socialization of employees. Today, ethical principles are an integral part of the organization's culture. Therefore, the culture of an organization will influence the way in which the organization realizes its social responsibility functions. In the research, the effect of organizational culture on social responsibility in companies located in the industrial towns of Bandar Abbas has been investigated. After examining the background of the research, the research model was designed and research hypotheses were developed. Finally, Hofstede's model was used to examine organizational culture, and Carroll's four-part model was used to examine social responsibility. In addition, the general purpose of the research was to investigate the impact of organizational culture on social responsibility in companies located in the industrial estates of Bandar Abbas using known methods. The statistical population of the research is all the personnel of the companies located in the industrial estates of Bandar Abbas city, which number is about 2000 people and a sample of 322 people was selected using Morgan table and simple sampling method. Field methods have been used to collect the required information. The method of this research is descriptive-survey and the main tool for collecting information is a questionnaire. It should be noted that two questionnaires were used to collect data; The first questionnaire was taken from Hofstede's standard organizational culture questionnaire and the second questionnaire was created by the researcher. After completing and surveying for the validity and reliability of the questions, the questionnaires have been distributed in the mentioned geographical area. Finally, using spss software and k-s test methods, Pearson's correlation coefficient, multiple regression analysis, the research hypotheses have been investigated. The obtained results indicate that organizational culture has an effect on social responsibility and more specifically; Individualism-groupism and attention to time have a positive and significant effect on social responsibility, and the variables of power distance, uncertainty avoidance, and patriarchy and feminism do not have a significant effect on social responsibility.

Key words: organizational culture, social responsibility (CSR).

In the current conditions, compliance with ethical, social and environmental issues for various organizations, especially industrial ones, has gone beyond a slogan and recommendation and tends to be implemented. Today, a manager can be successful in his work if, in addition to having technical skills, he is also equipped with political knowledge and social insight. Respecting public interests and paying attention to social demands is one of the issues that managers should pay great attention to in addition to the goals of the organization. In our era, the successful manager is not the one who only sets economic and technical goals, but the one who evaluates and values ??the organization's goals along with public interests and general policies of the society (Alwani, 2018). Business ethics and social responsibilities on the part of the organization increase the legitimacy of organizational actions and improve the competitive advantage and bring success to the organization (Rahman Sarasht, 2017). In addition to this, culture creates a distinction between an organization and other organizations and creates obligations beyond the individual's personal interests (Steven Robbins 1943). In addition to this, social responsibility is part of the organizational culture and is a value in the cultural environment of the organization. Therefore, knowing the different dimensions of organizational culture and social responsibility and investigating how the dimensions of organizational culture affect the social responsibility of the organization is not only necessary, but also necessary to adopt correct policies. In this chapter, the necessity of research, objectives, hypotheses and research questions, definition of variables and terms, research model, spatial and temporal domain of research and research method will be discussed. Statement of the problem Organizational culture is influenced by the national culture of each society and each organization has its own culture. Organizational culture has been defined in various ways, but in general, all definitions have a common feature: a set of standards, values, attitudes, and beliefs shared among the members of an organization, which are important to know (Reza Najaf Begi, 2011). Organizational culture does not arise by itself, but is influenced by factors inside and outside the organization. The study of the effects of culture on organizations, employees' behavior and decisions shows to what extent the role of culture in the attitude of employees. On the other hand, culture can be effective in competing with competitors and taking action to achieve the goals of the organization (Reza Najaf Begi 2011). The culture of an organization causes socialization of employees. Moral principles are an inseparable part of the culture of the organization. Therefore, the culture of an organization will influence the way in which the organization performs its responsibilities. realize its social acceptability. Many studies have been conducted in the field of the impact of organizational culture on social responsibility.

Researchers have studied the impact of organizational culture on social responsibility, and some others have examined in more detail the impact of different dimensions of culture from Hofstede's point of view on social responsibility. In addition to these researchers, they have examined the dimensions of social responsibility from different perspectives; For example, Baker has raised the environment, society, rules of ethics, human rights, market, attitudes and values, and workforce as dimensions of social responsibility. The same is true about organizational culture; Because different authors have considered different dimensions for culture. Many researchers have found a meaningful and positive relationship between organizational culture and responsibility. Also, researchers such as Verschoor in 1999, Jain and Drozdenko in 2010, Heinz in 1999 and Wadock and Graves in 1997 have found a positive relationship between social responsibility and financial performance of the company.

The dimensions of organizational culture from Hofstede's perspective (power distance, uncertainty avoidance, individualism-groupism, patriarchy-feminism, long-term-short-term orientation) help us to explain why a certain management method is attractive in one organization but does not work in another organization (Hanger and Thomas, 1935). In addition, considering that these dimensions together have been used less in research, also compared to other dimensions of organizational culture from simplicity have more, in this research, the examination of these dimensions together and their impact on social responsibility in small and medium enterprises (SME) will be experimentally addressed. gives In the past, there was a material relationship between society and companies. However, over time and with the development of human understanding, companies were required to adhere to a new dimension of their responsibilities in addition to the economic dimension. This new dimension is nothing but the social responsibility of companies. Therefore, in the age of information and globalization, companies must respond appropriately to social expectations and moral rules and combine such expectations with the economic goals of the organization in the best way to achieve higher and higher goals. Formation. Culture also expresses the main values, ideas, interpretations and trends that define an organization (Cameron and Govin 1999). Culture creates a distinction between an organization and other organizations and creates obligations beyond the individual's personal interests (Steven Robbins 1943). In addition to this, social responsibility is a part of organizational culture and is a kind of value in the cultural environment of the organization. Therefore, knowing the different dimensions of organizational culture and social responsibility and examining how the dimensions of organizational culture affect the social responsibility of the organization is not only necessary, but also necessary to adopt correct policies.
