    Abstract

This research is about investigating factors affecting the process of quantitative and qualitative changes in the tourism industry in Lahijan city. Urban tourism is a form of tourism industry that is related to topics such as spending leisure time and movement of citizens within the city and its sphere of influence. Accommodation and catering facilities are one of the most effective components in the system of tourism activities. This part of the system includes a set of services, facilities and facilities that determine the scope of maneuver and performance of tourists and provide conditions based on which tourists experience a more favorable comfort situation. Lahijan city is a mixture of nature, history and culture. Today, Lahijan is the destination of many urban tourists in the region and the country, although it lacks comprehensive planning and amenities, both quantitatively and qualitatively. The method of research is descriptive and analytical, and the attempt is to propose suitable solutions for attracting tourism and their permanence by taking field and library observations and recognizing countless tourism attractions, opportunities and threats (SWOT method) and the negative effects of the lack of development of amenities. Among them, the following can be mentioned: revitalizing the holding of training courses in the field of tourism services, introducing historical monuments and tourist attractions in the media and strengthening and encouraging short-term tourism tours, using educated managers who are aware of tourism issues at the top of decision-making and executive matters, coordination between regional managers and other pillars and institutions related to tourism in Lahijan region, involving people in decision-making and decision-making and implementing tourism programs, developing and improving amenities, building the necessary facilities and facilities in the tourism site, introducing the advantages The comparison of Lahijan city in the field of tourism investments by regional managers for investment applicants.

It has been a while that many scientific and executive circles of the country talk about the necessity of expanding the tourism industry. Creating employment, generating income, improving economic infrastructure, increasing tax revenues, improving people's quality of life and getting to know other cultures are some of the issues that are emphasized. Also, sustainable development as the dominant paradigm of the 21st century is increasingly mentioned in the speeches and writings of experts as the only basic solution to existing global problems, especially environmental problems. The tourism sector has not always been associated with development research, but the main concern of researchers has been to describe the dynamics of development. Issues such as the reduction of resources and its inappropriate distribution, the ability to compete, globalization and security have been among the main topics of discussion and negotiation. The issue of tourism has often existed as a marginal issue next to the main discussion. But currently planning for sustainable development can use tourism as a strategy. As it is said in this regard, the infrastructure approach that is currently used in planning the tourism industry and other types of development is the approach to achieve sustainable development. According to the sustainable development method, natural, cultural and other resources should be preserved for continuous use in the future and at the same time be useful for the current society. Talking about the role of the tourism industry is not related to other factors of urban growth, because in this case, tourists only cause overcrowding and excessive density of defective and weak networks, but urban tourism is one of the branches of the tourism industry, which should be accompanied by urban studies to evaluate leisure and recreation and tourism in the urban environment, which will lead to the improvement of the life cycle. The city of Lahijan, as a historical city in the temperate and humid Caspian region, with many strengths, including being centrally located in the region in terms of history and economic, social and cultural attractions, as well as countless opportunities for historical, recreational and nature tourism, can become a pole of regional or even extra-regional tourism. By systematically studying the city of Lahijan, its sphere of influence and its surrounding area, as well as evaluating the environmental effects of the tourism industry, it is possible to provide appropriate solutions to preserve nature from damage and sustain resources for future generations. It is hoped that by generalizing the results obtained from this research, a suitable model for planning urban tourism as a sustainable development strategy will be achieved. Statement of the problem and the necessity of research. Urban areas, especially big cities, are attractive and spectacular for tourists from various aspects, but the best of these attractions include three major categories of treasures, exhibitions, and shopping centers that attract tourists. The development and improvement of communication equipment and the connection of cities with the expansion of commuting infrastructure is getting better day by day, and as a result, with the formation of new markets in cities, tourists are attracted to cities and tourism in urban centers, and along with the development of cities, urban tourism is also popular. Cities that have many and rich tourist attractions and facilities often attract a large number of tourists. The more and more diverse these attractions and facilities are, it will certainly have a significant impact on the durability and length of stay of tourists in the city and, as a result, its economic prosperity. Lahijan is very important in terms of tourist attraction and receives two million tourists annually.

The concept of tourism quality is related to sustainable development. This method is increasingly accepted for two main reasons. The high level of tourism quality does not necessarily mean expensive tourism, but refers to the type of tourist attractions, facilities and services that lead to valuable benefits for the money spent. Quantitative and qualitative development of tourist facilities is an efficient method in the competition to attract keen tourists. A tourist needs a place to sleep, rest, and eat for whatever reason he travels to the city. Tourist accommodation services include a range of lodging establishments, which may be very luxurious resorts or limited to a simple bed and breakfast. The amount of facilities and services is a reflection of the different needs and tastes of travelers and the level of dynamism of this market, which can be effective in the amount of stay of tourists in the city. The lack of necessary facilities for recreation and entertainment of tourists shortens the period of stay of tourists, and from the economic point of view, optimal productivity will not occur. The lack of variety of accommodation space is one of the many problems of many cities. It is for the purpose of attracting tourists. 1- Knowing the tourist facilities of Lahijan city 2- Investigating the quantitative and qualitative development of tourist facilities in Lahijan 1-2-2- Practical objectives The study aims to provide planning grounds for attracting tourism to create jobs, raise the income level of residents, create cultural mixing, increase knowledge and contribute to sustainable development.

    1-3- Research Hypotheses

1- It seems that there are no necessary facilities and infrastructure to attract tourists in Lahijan city.

2- It seems that the existing facilities are not up to standard in terms of quality and do not meet the needs of tourists.

3- Increasing the quality of room centers increases the stay of tourists.

    1-4- Research method

The research method used in this research is descriptive. The data used was obtained through field studies and questionnaires. The methods used in the current research process include the following: 1-Library and documentary studies 2-Development of theoretical foundations and preparation of required information 3-Distribution of questionnaires and data extraction 4-Development of findings and final report Thesis

    5- Computer usage

    1-5- Statistical population and sample

The statistical population in this research is the community of employees of accommodation places who are working in Lahijan region, and considering that there is no accurate statistics of the statistical population, the statistical population of 160 people has been investigated in this research.

1-6- Definition of data and concepts

    1-6-2- Circosphere

Man learns that he has a temporary presence on earth and what he doesn't need, he doesn't get attached.
