    Abstract:

Until now, extensive research has been done regarding the choice of destination, personality and typology of tourists and it has been proven that there is a very close relationship between the personality of tourists and their motivation to choose a destination. In this field, research has also been done in Iran, but not with this interpretation and title. The lack of a targeted and effective research in this field in Iran is the main motivation for doing this thesis. In this research, all the tourists who traveled to the northern and southern parts of Iran in 2013 are included in the research community. On the other hand, in the present research, emphasis is placed on a community of tourists who stayed in the hotels of Noor city and Qeshm Island during this period. Due to the large number of hotels and the number of tourists staying in them during 2013, we have benefited from the assumptions of the multi-stage cluster sampling method. Therefore, 10 hotels were randomly selected among the hotels in these two cities in the first stage, then 10 people were selected by lottery from among the tourists residing in each hotel in the second stage. As a result, a statistical population consisting of 100 people was collected. And after the completion of the data collection stage, the obtained data were summarized, categorized and processed. What is important in the data analysis stage was that the researcher should determine the information and data to be analyzed in the direction of the research goal, answering the research questions and also evaluating the hypotheses for the data. For this purpose, the researcher in this stage of the research should consider the research method and the nature of the research to analyze the findings from the methods Quantitative and descriptive and inferential statistics and independent t-test were used using spss software. .

    Chapter one:

    Research overview

    Introduction:

The travel and tourism industry is considered as the largest and most diverse industry in the world. Many countries consider this dynamic industry as a resource. They believe that the main source of income is job creation, the growth of the private sector and the development of the infrastructure. The tourism industry around the world, especially in developing countries, where other economic forms such as the production or extraction of natural resources are not profitable, is of great interest.

People travel for many reasons. It seemed unlikely to go somewhere far away, and from the financial point of view, most people were not able to do this. Hotels and restaurants in different places became one of the major budget items of big cities, and they all tried to create places next to airports, main roads, and rural areas. The important services provided by travel agencies and those involved in travel affairs, and finally, advanced technology, all made current potential travelers able to travel safely, safely, and comfortably.

    1-1 Statement of the problem:

Geographical conditions and diverse environmental features in the northern and southern regions of the country have many strengths in the field of economic activity, so that they have created different functions. Besides these functions, the tourism potential of these regions has a special place. For example, Noor city is always considered as a region due to its favorable weather conditions, plant and biological diversity, and other tourist attractions. On the other hand, the southern regions have attracted many tourists due to different weather conditions and other environmental attractions. Qeshm Island is a clear example in this field, which has a lot of tourism functions due to its special geographical features, such that a large number of tourists come to these areas every year, and in the summer, these tourists travel mostly to the north of the country and vice versa in the winter to the south of Iran. Studying and investigating the motives of travelers is therefore important to their planners. They inform where the desired destination is and what features it should have. In this way, the management of tourist destinations can organize its target markets according to the knowledge and possibilities and organize its resources according to the knowledge and possibilities and equip its resources in a suitable way to meet the needs of the target market. In short, it should be said that tourists travel to the north and south of Iran for various reasons, including weather conditions, natural attractions, variety of products, cheapness, and the possibility of shopping.

The shores of the Mazandaran Sea in the north and the shores of the Persian Gulf and the Oman Sea in the south have many possibilities for leisure use in summer and winter. The existence of accommodation and catering facilities on these islands and shores along with air communication facilities makes it easy to travel and stay in them.

The present research aims to provide solutions for better use of travel opportunities and provision of facilities, services and activities to planners and decision makers by studying the motivations of Iranians to travel to the target areas and their comparative analysis. For policymaking at the macro level, to make decisions and policies based on the realities of tourism supply and demand in the fields necessary for the development of sustainable tourism, which leads to the satisfaction of tourists, the creation of a favorable and appropriate income for local communities and the preservation of the environment and local culture.

1- What is the main motivation for Iranians to travel to the north of the country (Noor city)?

2- What motivations have caused Iranians to travel to the southern regions (Qeshm Island)?

3-What are the differences between the motivations of travelers to Noor and Qeshm regions?

4-What role does accessibility and time play in the selection of Iranian travel destinations to the north (Noor) and south (Qeshm) of the country?

    4-1 Research hypotheses:

3- It seems that the northern regions of the country are prioritized for the travel of domestic tourists compared to the south of the country due to their proximity to the main centers of population concentration and convenient access.

4- It seems that the presence of public and official accommodation facilities and the rental of private houses in the north of the country and the absence of such a possibility in the south of the country causes more tourists to travel to the northern regions.

1-5 Research Objectives: The purpose of this research is to identify the motivational factors of tourists traveling to the northern and southern regions of the country, so that by knowing the motivations of tourists, it is possible to provide them with the necessary facilities, services and fields of activity according to their demand. Marketing policies used. 6-1 Research method: The above research is an applied research in terms of nature and a correlational method in terms of method, which wants to compare and study the relationship between travel motives and destination selection.

    1-8-1 Library studies

1- Checking the available documents and statistics of organizations and departments related to the research topic

2- Collecting field information through the design and setting of questionnaires from tourists entering Noor and Qeshm Island

9-1 Definitions of words and concepts:

In this research, concepts and words have been used that need to be explained and defined in order to clarify the opinion of the researcher. The most important words and definitions are:
