    Abstract:

    The intended research is to investigate the effect of Michael Porter's competitive model on the activity of insurance companies in Isfahan Province.

    In this research, first the competitive factors of Porter's model are examined and then, according to the key factors of competition in the insurance market, to identify the insurer, the insured, and the insurer itself. Gray, captive companies [1], central insurance and insurance companies are discussed and then the components of Michael Porter's competitive model, Porter's adaptive model in the insurance industry are evaluated. In the second chapter, there is an introduction to insurance and the history of insurance in such a way that we try to evaluate the insurance industry in a scientific and specialized way. The measuring instrument of this research is a questionnaire with 24 questions. The population investigated in this research are the representatives of Dana, Asia, Novin and Razi insurance companies in Isfahan province, based on which 188 people were selected and a questionnaire was distributed among them and the necessary information was collected. To analyze the data, hypothesis testing, variance analysis and statistical tables were used and SPSS 19 software was used. Insurers have an average rating of 3.35 and the lowest is the entry of new insurance companies with an average rating of 2.15.
