    Abstract:

The purpose of this study was to evaluate the relationship between stress coping styles and general self-efficacy with job satisfaction of male and female nurses in Dezful city health centers. The sample of the research was 123 people (equivalent to the total research population) male and female residents of the health centers affiliated to the health center of Dezful city. The data were collected using questionnaires of coping styles, general self-efficacy and job description index, and by calculating Pearson's correlation coefficient and regression analysis. The calculation of correlation between variables showed that styles of coping with stress and general self-efficacy had a positive and significant correlation with job satisfaction of employees (P<0.05). The results of the regression analysis showed that general self-efficacy has the largest contribution in predicting the variance of the job satisfaction of employees.

    Introduction:

Job satisfaction[1] is an important factor for increasing efficiency and individual satisfaction in the organization. It is considered that efficient and motivated human resources play an important and fundamental role in increasing the effectiveness of any organization. When employees join an organization, they bring with them a set of wants, needs, aspirations, and past experiences, which together create job expectations. The reactions and answers provided by the organization to the demands of the employees form job satisfaction or dissatisfaction. In fact, job satisfaction indicates the relationship between human expectations and the rewards that work provides (Willem[2] et al., 2007).

Since job satisfaction is one of the basic and very important issues in any organization that is closely related to the growth and prosperity of that organization, it can actually be considered as one of the factors that is effective in the behavior and performance of employees in organizations. It has been proven in organizational studies that job satisfaction has an inverse relationship with factors such as absenteeism, resignation, conflict, job stress, and physical and mental illness of employees (Robbins [3], 1998). According to Shelley [4] and his colleagues (2003), job satisfaction is the result of employees' perception of how their important expectations are met by their jobs. They have considered two important aspects for job satisfaction; First, job satisfaction is an emotional response to work conditions; And secondly, job satisfaction can be determined through how goals are achieved or expectations are met. When we say that a person has high job satisfaction, we actually mean that he likes his job to a great extent, has positive feelings towards it and through it he was able to satisfy his needs (Appleton[5] et al., 1988 and Ford[6], 2002). to give When faced with problems, some people try to deal with the situation by correctly and logically evaluating the situation and using strategies such as problem solving[7], positive thinking[8] and effective use of support systems. On the other hand, some others try to avoid facing problems in different ways, such as taking refuge in alcohol and drugs and other ineffective strategies, instead of coping adaptively[9]. The main disadvantage of these avoidance strategies is that although they may be effective in the short term and give a person temporary relief, they have many negative consequences in the long term and deprive the person of a sense of self-efficacy [10] and self-esteem [11] and self-worth (Qarache Daghi, 2014).

Researches show that the feeling of self-efficacy is associated with responsibility for doing tasks (Bari and Anastasia [12], 2005) and job satisfaction (Gline, Claudio and Patrick [13], 2006) has a positive relationship. Therefore, self-efficacy is considered an important factor for people's career success and, as a result, job satisfaction. In relation to job satisfaction, research also shows that there is a positive relationship between job satisfaction with the use of problem-oriented coping styles [14] and a negative relationship with the use of emotion-oriented coping styles [15] (Palesan and Agard [16], 2000).

In this regard, the present study was carried out according to the needs and increasing the efficiency of health workers who are working on the front line of health and with the aim of investigating the relationship between stress coping styles[17] and general self-efficacy[18] with job satisfaction of male and female health workers in Dezful city.

    Research problem

An important indicator of an efficient human resources organization is Because human power is the most important resource in any organization. Most people spend almost half of their waking hours at work, if they are satisfied with their job, they will like their job and have positive feelings and attitudes towards their job. Stress is a common experience in the life of all human beings (Varkarolis [19], 2002).

Everyone may be at risk of stress, but some people experience higher stress than others. Therefore, other variables (individual differences) should be directly and indirectly involved in stress and its consequences. For example, people differ in paying attention to the probability of encountering stress, how to understand and evaluate stressors, the ability to adapt to stress, and vulnerability to stress (Kode, Lagan-Fuchs [20], 2001). A group of individual variables that play a mediating role in the relationship between stressors and stress are the beliefs that people have about themselves. Among these beliefs, self-efficacy as a basic component of social-cognitive theory plays a significant role in facing obstacles and difficulties and failures, and it has allocated a major share of research, especially in the field of occupational stress. (Sacks[21], 1994; Caufield, Chang, Dollard et al. Recently, attention to the sources of stress and coping styles has been highly studied and it has been shown that the use of effective coping styles plays an important role in reducing stress and resulting in job satisfaction (Foruzande and Delaram, 2013). Also, job satisfaction brings various positive results from an individual and organizational perspective, and it helps the individual's feelings about the organization and his interests to participate in maintaining solidarity, and has a significant effect on the way people approach and approach their jobs, the amount of effort, Their commitments have an effect on the effectiveness of the organization and most importantly on the self-efficacy of individuals (Bicklake, 2015).

Although there have been numerous studies on the job satisfaction of employees in organizations from various perspectives, unfortunately, the job satisfaction of nurses who are one of the main pillars of community participation in primary health care [24] and have a valuable role in providing health services has been less evaluated. Since health workers can play a sensitive and important role by simultaneously providing health-treatment-educational services and especially mental health[25] in achieving the main goals of primary health care, i.e. access to basic health services for all people, it seems that examining how to cope with stress and their general self-efficacy can overshadow the provision of services, which is primary health care, and the quality of service delivery, and ultimately lead to changes in their job satisfaction. Therefore, according to this, the present study will examine the relationship between stress coping styles and general self-efficacy with job satisfaction of male and female health workers in Dezful city. Therefore, the main purpose of this research is to answer the following question: Is there a significant relationship between stress coping styles and general self-efficacy with job satisfaction of male and female health care workers in Dezful city?

Hypothesis 1-1- There is a relationship between stress coping styles (problem-oriented) and job satisfaction of female health care workers.

Hypothesis 2-1 There is a relationship between stress-coping styles (problem-oriented) and job satisfaction of male health care workers.

Hypothesis 2- There is a relationship between general self-efficacy and job satisfaction of male and female health care workers.

Hypothesis 2-1 There is a relationship between general self-efficacy and job satisfaction of female health care workers. Hypothesis 2-2 There is a relationship between general self-efficacy and job satisfaction of male health care workers. Hypothesis 3- There is a multiple relationship between stress coping styles (problem-oriented) and general self-efficacy with job satisfaction of male and female health care workers.
