    Abstract:

This research aims to investigate the effectiveness of teaching self-awareness and problem-solving skills on the marital satisfaction of drug addicts during the treatment of dynamic rehabilitation and therapy clinic, Bandar Lange city in 2012. The statistical population includes all clients with a volume of 86 people. The sample size includes 30 addicted patients trying to quit, who were randomly selected in two experimental groups (15 people) and control group (15 people). The data collection tool is Enrich Marital Satisfaction Questionnaire and the experimental group was trained in self-awareness and problem solving skills during 6 sessions in 60 minutes. After the end of the training course, both groups were given a post-test. Finally, using SPSS software, the data obtained from the pre-test and post-test and comparing the averages of the experimental group and the control group were analyzed using descriptive statistics (mean, standard deviation) and inferential statistics (analysis of covariance). The findings of the research show that the results obtained from the main hypothesis, the training of problem-solving self-awareness skills on the marital satisfaction of the addicted patients who try to quit are significant and effective at the level of P=0.000. Also, the results of the secondary hypotheses (training on marital relationship, sexual narratives and financial management are effective with the significance level of 0.001, 0.143 and 0.001 of the patients, respectively. But it was not effective on the leisure time of the patients. It means that there is a significant difference between the average scores of marital satisfaction in the experimental and control groups. Therefore, it can be concluded that the training of self-awareness and problem-solving skills has been effective in increasing the marital satisfaction of addicted patients during treatment. Key words: training of self-awareness and problem-solving skills, marital satisfaction, addiction. 1 Introduction Among all social institutions, the family has the best effect. The family is the most comprehensive social unit, and the normality and abnormality of the society depends on the general conditions of the family, and none of the social harms is independent of the family's influence (Nawabinejad, 2006). Among the problems of human societies, especially when its people are involved in many social, cultural, economic, physical, and psychological problems due to the lack of social justice, weak moral principles, poverty and corruption, the disintegration of the family center, and the like, the problem of addiction, or to put it more correctly, The disease of addiction was and is. This disease has spread globally, and nowadays a large part of those affected by this disease are young people, and the current trends that dominate the family environment, especially the emotional relationships between husband and wife and their children, play a significant role in its occurrence.  It is obvious that unhealthy and sick family environments and the lack of satisfaction among the members increase their vulnerability to this disease. Successfully confronting and challenging the problems of addiction and the factors affecting the abnormalities in the family are a part of the daily life of every addicted person. But every person faces problems in life for which they must find correct and logical solutions. Some people choose inappropriate solutions to problems, but it should be remembered that with a little thought and thought, you can choose the best one among dozens of possible solutions to experience the least damage to the created problem. The idea that all problems can be solved is illogical and contrary to reality. However, if we devote enough time to a comprehensive, logical and creative review of our problems, most of them can be solved and will not cause us any stress. Most people do not spend much time to solve their problems and therefore ignore many available solutions. Superficial thoughts and quick and hasty decisions usually do not lead to an efficient solution to the problem, because in such thinking deep and important issues remain far away. More precisely, a person should be aware of his behavior and identify the environmental obstacles and remove them in order to achieve his goals and organize his environment in a new way. And on the other hand, he should deal with the negative issues within himself that distract him from his goals. (Nawabinejad, 2006)

However, our reaction to stressful situations is related to our ability to self-awareness and problem solving.Because the awareness of one's strengths and weaknesses and the ability to solve problems affects behavioral, emotional and cognitive variables such as despair, irrational beliefs, self-confidence, expectation of success, etc. Also, problem solving focuses on the negative impact of life events and causing depression. Problem solving is a normal life activity and has a close relationship with life events. In addition to its stability, it plays an important role on individual resources, environmental influences and cultural influences in people's lives. Therefore, creating and maintaining intimate relationships and satisfying emotional and psychological needs during marriage is a skill and an art, and in addition to basic mental and business health, it requires acquiring skills and performing special tasks. Therefore, to increase the marital satisfaction of addicted people who need social support to deal with problems. These people can be helped by using life skills training to increase marital satisfaction and improve the level of mental health. As in this research, based on self-awareness and problem-solving skills, it has been tried to increase marital satisfaction in these people (addicts) by using the method of teaching self-awareness and problem-solving skills, so that the mental health and well-being of the society undergo positive changes. Alarming statistics in this field have prompted experts to investigate this problem and find a solution for it. The results of these investigations show that many social harms are caused by the lack of psycho-social skills necessary to effectively deal with life's problems. In recent decades, psychologists have come to the conclusion that many disorders and injuries are rooted in people's inability to properly analyze personal issues, lack of feeling of control and sufficiency to face difficult situations, and lack of knowledge to solve life's problems and issues in an appropriate way. One of these problems is addiction, which, along with malnutrition and environmental pollution, is one of the major problems of human societies, which unfortunately has plagued all industrial and non-industrial societies. Few phenomena can be found that have threatened human societies like addiction. Despite the dangers and complications caused by addiction, the number of victims of this deadly trap is increasing every day, and observing its horrific scenes has not yet been considered as a serious warning to avoid other people, especially the young section of the society. (Bernstein [1], 1998, translation, Pour Abedi Naini, 2017) This social system invents a set of rules and principles and determines various roles for its members. The relationship between the members of this subculture is a deep and multi-layered relationship. In this system, people have become independent to each other through strong, lasting and mutual emotional interests and attachments. Entry into such an organized system is done only through birth, adoption or marriage. (Goldenberg[2] and Goldenberg, 2000. Translation, Shahi Barvati and Naqshbandi, 2012).

Marital satisfaction is a friendly bond with understanding and mutual understanding and a logical interaction between the material and spiritual needs of spouses. Marital satisfaction is the most fundamental pillar of the mental health of people in the family, which depends on various factors such as financial status, addiction of spouses or children, age of marriage, work status, etc. It takes effect. (Sinha and Mukherjee[3], 1991)

There are many factors that affect married life and cause satisfaction or dissatisfaction in life, factors such as the quality of communication before marriage, the type of personality of the couple, the communication methods of the couple and environmental factors such as addiction, behavioral and psychological problems are among the known factors. The most important of these factors is the tendency of the couple to addiction, which causes the family to not enjoy the necessary happiness and health, and psychological problems - It created a behavior. Life skills are the adaptive behavior of a person so that he can cope with the necessities of daily life. (Botvin [5], 2006).

Human life is full of its own problems and complications.
