    Abstract:

The present study is conducted with the aim of investigating the types of similes in the 6th century poet Ganjavi's military letter. The research method in this thesis is analytical and by referring to the sources dedicated to the life and style of the poet, it has been examined with an approach to the similes in the military letter, and by classifying the available information, it has been able to evaluate the poet's worldview and attitude. The findings indicate that Nizami paid special attention to similes among imaginary images because similes are the main theme of imaginary images whose purpose was to accurately describe landscapes and people. Therefore, he can be considered as an idealist poet who was able to leave memorable paintings and pictures in his poetry for the generation after him. The expression and methods of expression in his works are so eloquent and catchy that the reader is amazed and introduces him to the unknown world of the poet's mental images. And based on this, it has made him a sensual and extroverted poet. One of the characteristics of military poetry is creativity in poetry, diversity, brevity, non-repetition. He pointed out.

    Introduction:

"Literary words and words whose purpose is to affect the souls and minds and want to take a place in the soul and heart of the listener must be distinguished from ordinary words and have special beauty. For this reason, poets and writers have been striving for the beauty of their words since long ago. And by using different techniques, they have given their speech a special glory and prosperity. The secret of the emergence of the science of rhetoric with the science of meanings and expression is this, by which eloquent speech is distinguished from vulgar and common speech. The imagery and expressive methods in Nizami's works, especially in his works of Bazmi, are so catchy and eloquent that they surprise the reader and introduce him to the unknown world of beauty that can fit in the mind of a creative poet. leave a memory in poetry for future generations. (Safa, 1370: Vol. 2: 803). Hakim Ganja has stolen the lead from his previous poets in the style of order of Bazmi stories and has become the leader in the field of Bazmi and narrating romantic stories. Although story-telling has existed since the beginning of Persian literature, Nizami has brought it to the highest level of development, and in choosing the appropriate words and creating special new combinations and inventing and inventing new and pleasing meanings and themes in each case, the description of details and the power of imagination, precision in describing and creating beautiful and soulful landscapes, and detailing in describing nature, people and situations, and the use of pleasant and new similes and metaphors, he is among those who have no equal after him. (Ibid.: 803)

In Sharafnameh, simile is one of the types of imagery that has been used a lot, most of his similes are full of images inspired by nature. Simile is one of the most important expressive elements in a literary work. The simile shows the breadth and angle of the poet's vision; That is, the poet communicates between different elements and objects, and it is natural that in this way, he is also affected by the events of the society. It also shows the similarity of the level and creativity of the poet.

The type of use of simile by the poet can be a confirmation of his intellectual and artistic views and fields. Many experiences of the living environment and ideological and intellectual fields are effective in making similes. Someone who in these pillars of religious, moral, literary, social and. uses, shows his inclination and desire for this matter. In other words, most of the topics that surround the poet or pass through his mind, can be used in his similes.

Study and examination of the military honor roll makes a person familiar with his artistry and illustration. In this fictional work, each story makes a person think about the beauty of nature and the world of creation, and along with the words of the poet, which includes advice, advice, wisdom, and preaching, he is familiar with the world inside and outside.

In this research, the writer examines similes in Nizami's aesthetic treatise, revealing his thought in the use of these imaginary images (similes), and for this purpose, this treatise is compiled in four chapters. After the abstract and introduction (purpose, method, and background of the research) are given, then the first chapter is dedicated to the introduction of Nizami and his works. It is based on the fact that the poet's way of expression should be examined with regard to similes.
