    Abstract

    In this research, the evolution process of naming people from the 70s to the 90s has been investigated. The process of naming has undergone extensive changes in recent decades, these changes can indicate the process of social and cultural changes in the social system. This research is a descriptive research and its method is content analysis. By examining the influence of historical periods, gender, region of residence, the tendency to combine names and the spirit of individualism and collectivism in the rate of evolution of naming values ??during the last three decades, names were investigated and the following results were obtained: more men were given Islamic names than women, during the revolution period, more people had Islamic names, but in the period after the revolution and the imposed war, the amount of western names increased, more in rural areas. Traditional Islamic names were given, while in urban areas they gave their children more than modern names, with the passing of historical periods, people chose more mixed names to name their children. In the past, the names of people were more repetitive and the names of the elders of the family, which showed a collectivist spirit, but nowadays, more new names are used, which shows the individualistic spirit of the citizens.

    Abstract:

    In this research the trend of changes in selecting names for people was studied from 1370 to 1390. Naming trend during recent decades has been exposed to remarkable changes, which can be the indicator of social and cultural evolutions in social system. This research is of descriptive type conducted through content analysis. The impacts of historical periods, gender, place of residence, tendency towards combined names and individualism/pluralism on the process of naming during three recent decades were studied and the following results were obtained: Men used Islamic names more than women. At the time Islamic Revolution occurred, most people had Islamic names, but after it, and after the imposed war, the number of western names increased. In rural regions. Islamic-traditional names are more common, while in urban regions modern names are being used. With the passage of historical periods, parents used more combined names for their children. During past periods, people used to choose repetitive names and the names of the heads of their families. This indicated their tendency towards pluralism. But today, modern names are more often used and this shows the individualism mood of citizens.
