    Abstract

The present study has investigated the relationship between the use of social networks and the religious orientation of social network users using a survey method. This research was conducted in the Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of Tehran and among the students of different fields and courses of study in this faculty.

The analysis of the findings of this study, which examines and evaluates the religious orientation of users in the five areas of feeling, belief and belief, performing rituals, adherence to religious values ??and beliefs, shows that social networks play an important role in today's life as the most basic form of traditional media and have made room for themselves more than any other traditional media.

It seems that accepting life and presence in these networks is inevitable, but by planning decision-making institutions and comprehensive pathology and using all communication capacities, it can be used as an opportunity and a suitable platform to strengthen and spread religious and religious values.

Keywords: Internet; social networks; Facebook; religion; Religious Tendency

Humans have stepped into the 21st century when communication has conquered the world and books, radio, movies, satellites and the Internet have connected their lives in such a way that they are looking for new ways and tools to live. Other religions are familiar. (Tofiqi, Hossein: 1390)

With the help of new communication media, today's people, especially the young generation, experience different ways to maintain their relationship with friends and acquaintances, establish new relationships and spread their thoughts. People have used the power of these communication tools to meet their communication needs. They have provided the extension of these relationships to real life.

Research results have shown that the communication styles and behaviors of social network site users from different cultures and nations are different due to different cultural attitudes and values. In other words, people under the influence of the prevailing cultures in their society engage in communication behaviors in online social networks.

New communication technologies that have become an undeniable reality of human life today have created a new world of which virtual space and social networks are an important example. Today's technologies that have shown themselves in different fields have affected the different dimensions of human life in the religious, social, political and cultural fields.

In principle, technology has always influenced the lives of people, and its use also makes things simpler, and in its broad dimensions, its use leads to the formation of complex social and cultural dimensions. Because each of them in turn caused a change in human life with the changes they brought. New information media, especially the Internet, is the reason for the modernization of social processes. This technology has overshadowed all aspects of people's lives. (Jehangerd, 2014: 3)

Although humans usually resist any kind of change, it is important to accept that facing these changes is inevitable and these resistances will also be broken, and for this reason, you should always prepare yourself for these changes, which happen quickly and quickly, and with a good understanding of the impact of each of these changes, minimize its adverse effects. let's deliver

With the rapid growth of communication and information technologies, especially the Internet, and the rapid transfer of activities to individual and collective human life; Cyberspaces and virtual environments have become increasingly important and virtualization has become the driving force of changing human life environment and more importantly, the main factor in changing thought and behavioral patterns and in a more precise sense of "human existence".(Ohadi, 1380: 9)

As the English sociologist, Anthony Giddens [1] (1999) reminds, all these changes are not only happening "outside here" but also "happening here - in our homes and inside our heads -, and in how we see the world and where we are in it. Therefore, we We are all responsible to think about and discuss these cultural changes. The fact is that we cannot be indifferent to these changes. Therefore, it is important to know how these changes can affect our daily interactions. It is more important for all those who enter the work world to have wise opinions about the Internet.

Third world and developing countries like Iran were always affected by these conditions in their technological development. Since the Qajar rule and the defeat of Iran against the Russian forces, the use of technologies in various fields has become a basic category in the political and social developments of Iranian society. Socialization of the people of Europe in the long term will lead to a change in the communication taste of the general society.

Thinkers and experts in social sciences and communication believe that the combination and convergence, communication technologies and the restructuring of the capitalist system in recent decades have opened a new stage in the history of human societies. A stage that has been described and explained with terms such as post-industrial society [2], network society [3], information society [4], postmodern society [5], virtual society [6] and the like. "The characteristics of this new society can be listed as phenomena such as global information economy, variable network geometry, real authorized culture, astonishing development of digital technologies, continuous services, as well as the compression of time and space" (Castells, 1380:15)

In recent years, "virtual social networks" have expanded at an unprecedented speed. MySpace Facebook[7], Facebook[8], FiveHi[9], Friendster[10], YouTube[11], Filker[12], Orcutt[13] and Twitter[14] are the most famous of these networks, which have provided an attractive space for network communication in virtual space among Internet users, mainly from the young generation, and have grown rapidly in a short period of time. For example, FaceBook has more than one billion active users as of September 2012 according to ISNA news agency. (ISNA, 09/09/2013)

Although social networks seem to use simple tools for writing and sharing information, they are so attractive and influential in the modern world that millions of people join them every week and every month to use these attractions and mutual services. Come.

Undoubtedly, the Facebook social network can be considered as the most important social network that has served internet users more than other networks. This network has left such a deep impression on the users that its presence has become a kind of social status among the elites as well as the common people and it is one of the ways to communicate with friends, colleagues and acquaintances. and will take With the arrival of Iranian, Afghan and Tajik users, the Facebook company decided to add Persian language to the list of languages ??on this site, although it is still used less among Persian-speaking users (Mezinani, Kazem, Sourah University 1389). Religion [15] is one of the most important issues of societies. Undoubtedly, it can be said that religion is one of the psychological needs of humans and a prerequisite for any collective life.

On the other hand, nowadays various aspects of the religion issue have been taken into consideration by thinkers and social theorists. The current conditions of global communication, development and growth of various technologies, continuous cultural confrontation and so on. It has caused the issue of identity to become a central issue in social studies in different dimensions.
