    Introduction

The family is an institution. They have introduced a society that results from the marriage bond between a man and a woman, and in which family members, including spouses and children, and sometimes even ancestors and grandchildren, live based on peaceful coexistence, purity, intimacy, humanity and understanding, and participation and cooperation. Families are usually a small unit consisting of at least two or three people, but in terms of importance, they have considered it to be one of the most important social institutions and the first source of building and raising generations, the highest source of happiness and the richest source of affection (Ahmadi et al., 2014).

Among the manifestations of human social life is the existence of healthy and constructive interactions between humans and the existence of love for the same kind and expressing sincerity and empathy to each other. Man is a multi-dimensional being, and an important part of his complex nature is the desire to live in a community and connect with fellow humans. Psychologists and other specialists in behavioral sciences are among the experts who, by studying the complex dimensions of human behavior and his psychological world, provide useful information and strategies to achieve well-being and physical and mental health, so that it is possible to achieve a life with comfort for the individual (Jadidi and John Goregi, 2018). Psychologists consider the family as a place to satisfy various physical, intellectual and emotional needs. Being aware of biological and psychological needs and knowing how to satisfy and extinguish them, and being equipped with techniques to recognize the most important biological and psychological desires, and being armed with how to satisfy them properly and healthily is an undeniable necessity (Ahmadi et al., 2014). A person's abilities are very important. In the activities of thinkers in this field, there are many researches that indicate the confirmation of the role of communication and emotional skills in the daily functioning of adults, their bonds and satisfying marital relationships.

Regarding the effects that emotional skills and emotional security of people have on the quality of their relationship, as well as the high importance of the quality of married life for the mental health of people, in the present research, it was realized that the relationship between emotional skills and emotional security and the quality of married life of couples in the city of Rodan examine.

    1-1. Statement of the problem

"Mental health" of the generations of the society depends on providing the mental health of the family as a center full of love and peace for transformation in the development of talents. The family is an underlying social system, the disorganization of its organization or its disintegration can be evaluated and presented as the failure of the family unit or the disintegration of the family and subsequently the weakening of the foundations of social life, and therefore it is very important to investigate the factors affecting it (Akhrati, 2016). Every man and woman experiences some degree of problems and incompatibilities in their married life during their life together, and sometimes these differences are resolved, and sometimes the severity of the differences and the lack of knowledge of the ways of dealing with the problems lead to marital dissatisfaction.. Every man and woman experiences some degree of problems and incompatibilities in their married life during their life together, and sometimes these differences are resolved, and sometimes the intensity of the differences and lack of awareness of the ways of dealing with the problems of the man and the woman fuel the marital dissatisfaction so much that the couples do not see any way other than divorce. Therefore, it is important that researchers in the family field investigate the factors that affect the relationship between spouses.

Most of the tests to measure satisfaction after marriage around the world show that after cohabitation crosses the border of initial emotions and enters the field of turbulence of everyday life, there is a drop in satisfaction with the emotional, social or physical quality of marriage (Bowling Wheel [1], 2005). Such a decline becomes more serious, especially with the presence of children and their problems, on the one hand, and the increase in obligations and challenges in life, on the other hand (Stets [2], 2004; quoted by Gholamalian Vahmadi, 2017). With this said, the quality of married life is one of the effective factors in the stability and reliability of families, and at the same time, the mental health of spouses and children (Samani, 2017). On the other hand, one of the components of the quality of life is the quality of married life. Many concepts such as compatibility, satisfaction, happiness, integrity and commitment have been used for the quality of married life (Ellis [3], 2004). There is no agreement on the meaning of any of these concepts. The reason for this is the lack of a single theory about what marital quality is (Glen [4], 2001, quoted by Azalis, 2004).

Kole Vaspanier[5] (1998) described the quality of married life as the success and performance of a marriage. Larson and Holman [6] (2001) stated that the quality of marital life is a dynamic concept because the nature and quality of relationships between people changes over time, which allows the identification of factors affecting the quality of a relationship. However, it is possible that such relationships are complex and contain interactions between many variables (cited by Gholamalian and Ahmadi, 2017). It is considered the most effective factors in maintaining a successful, healthy and happy life. Disappointment to improve couples' relationships, biased and incorrect views, wrong relationships, in addition to the side effects it has on relationships between spouses, undoubtedly shakes the family structure as well. Family instability also has destructive effects on children's health and mental health and their natural and healthy growth (Ellis, 2004). Therefore, it seems necessary to pay attention to the family and improve the relationship of the couple, who are the main role model of the couple. The quality of married life has a significant contribution to the quality of life, and as a result, it will be the basis for facilitating the growth and advancement of the material and spiritual development of the society.

Therefore, considering the importance that psychologists, sociologists, and even religions give to the family and effective marital relationship, this question comes to mind, why couples experience a decline in the quality of married life and what causes and factors can affect the quality of their married life (Gholamalian and Ahmadi, 1387). Therefore, in the current research, it was intended to investigate the relationship between the two factors "emotional skills" and "emotional security" with the quality of married life.

The first predictor variable in the current research is "emotional skills". Emotional skills include a wide class of skills, including the acquired methods of each person to identify, organize and express their emotions, as well as how to respond to them. It is the emotions of others (Kordova, J and Warren [7], 2005).

"Emotional skills" are not just the experience of emotions, but they define a person's skill in using emotions to regulate their behaviors and relationships. Mirgin [8] (2003) considers emotional skills as a single construct consisting of at least four abilities. These four abilities include: "control over emotions", "comfort in emotional expression", "recognition and communication with emotions" and "empathy".

Emotional skills predict people's success in life and how to communicate properly with others (Guttman [9], 1997). People with weak emotional skills and, in a broader view, low emotional intelligence, show strong reactions to other people's opinions about themselves. In this way, people are constantly trying to gain the approval of those around them and they try to do things that limit their activity in their daily life and cause problems in their interpersonal relationships, especially marital relationships, and cause a decrease in the quality of their married life.

"Emotional security" is another influential variable that affects the quality of married life in different ways. According to the definition of "Kordova and Scott [10]" (2001), emotional security is a feeling of security and ease of being vulnerable in the context of a certain relationship.
