Abstract:
Today, many researchers focus on the role of tourism in the economic, social and environmental development of cities and regions.
The city of Kashan, in addition to having old structures with historical and traditional value, due to the beautiful nature of Qamsar, Niaser and Barzak, which has the highest level of Kashan flower fields, is of great importance in attracting historical, cultural and natural tourists.
What is very important in this context is not only the inherent capabilities of this city to attract tourists, but also the identification and analysis of attractive tourism axes of Kashan city.
In order to achieve the above goals, in the first stage, sightseeing spots and accommodation facilities in four parts of Kashan city based on historical, cultural, natural and religious attractions were determined using GIS software.
In the second stage, using GIS analytical functions and network analysis, including the attraction level model, neighborhood operations, accessibility modeling and analysis, spatial interaction model and layer overlapping operations, and network geometric modeling, the status of sightseeing spots was identified and analyzed.
The results of the analysis from the research show that the central part of Kashan in terms of historical and cultural attractions and the Niaser part in terms of natural and religious attractions are indicators compared to other parts.
In the third stage, the results of these analyzes and the information of road communication networks were combined
and the tourism axes of historical, cultural, natural and religious attraction along with the common connecting axes between the parts separately, according to priority Each category of attractions with thickness and different degrees of colors were determined.
Finally, according to the results of the research, suggestions for the simultaneous use of tourist spots in Kashan city, It was presented in order to strengthen the appropriate links.
According to the promising results of this research, it is recommended to use GIS capabilities and network analysis and models based on it in order to identify and analyze the current and future status of sightseeing spots and other service centers.
Introduction
Tourism is one of the major forces shaping the world today and is one of the most important and dynamic activities in the world, which is rooted in the development of technology. and the all-round expansion of capitalism.
According to the report of the World Tourism and Travel Association, tourism alone accounts for 6% of the total world trade. (Holden, 2008:13)
This has led governments and developing countries to pay attention to tourism development policies as a tool for economic development and mobility and one of the ways to fight unemployment and generate foreign exchange income.
During the last two decades, increasing attention has been paid to research on tourism from Europe to North America and from Africa to Asia. This increasing attention largely reflects the growth of tourism in cities and regions.
Kashan city is one of the most touristic cities of the country in Isfahan province, which in addition to having old and valuable traditional and historical structures, due to the beautiful nature of Qomsar, Niaser and Barzak, which has the highest level of Kashan flower fields, is of great importance in attracting historical, cultural and natural tourists.
What in this field has It is important, not only the inherent capabilities of Kashan city to attract tourists, but It is more important to identify and analyze the attractive tourism axes of this city.
One of the basic solutions For this analysis, the use of geographic information systems technology (GIS[1]), which, in addition to quick access to the required information, also has the ability to analyze spatial and non-spatial data.
It is social. This prosperity along with the increase in public income has finally caused a feeling of more need to fill free time and the formation of the culture of travel and tourism.Although more than 150 years have not passed since the formation of the world's first travel agency by Thomas Cook and the formation of organized tourism (Rizvani, 1374, 20), this activity has been able to become one of the largest economic activities today, including the factors in the formation of cultural and social interactions in the world, so that tourism contributes more than 10.8% to the world's gross domestic product and accounts for 8.7% of the world's jobs. assigned This is despite the fact that according to the WTO, Iran is one of the top 10 countries in the world in terms of tourism attractions, and Kashan city is very important in attracting tourism.
The growth and increase of national income can be referred to the following (tourism planning at the national and regional level, 2019, 52):
Creating job opportunities in the service sector and other related sectors and an important factor in solving the unemployment problem
Preventing the outflow of the country's currency and creating a balance in the country's overall balance of payments
Effective in the exchange of ethnic cultures and the development and excellence of the cultures of nations
Creating peace between International
Helping the government's revenues (through hotel taxes, airport fees, customs, etc.)
Effective in the development, preservation and maintenance of museums, theaters and other cultural facilities
Using tourism as an accelerator to the expansion of other sectors of the economy
If tourism is developed in a sustainable manner, it can justify and compensate for the preservation of the natural and cultural resources of the region, areas that are in In the absence of this tool, they have a limited ability to achieve the goals of preserving and maintaining the environment (ibid., 22). Kashan, in addition to having old and valuable traditional and historical structures, which are sometimes among the few works of historical and architectural value in the world, because of the beautiful nature of Qomsar and Niasro-Barzak, which has the highest level of Kashan flower fields and the holding of flower and rose water festivals, is of special importance for tourists around the world. Therefore, by reconsidering the attention to the tourism industry in this city, an effective step can be taken in the further and better development of Kashan city from various economic, social, cultural, natural, infrastructural, etc. aspects. Tourism using network analysis method
Special objective 1: Determination of tourist places and accommodation facilities of Kashan city based on historical, cultural and natural attractions using GIS
Special objective 2: Determination of tourist routes of Kashan city based on historical, cultural and natural attractions using GIS
Special objective 3: Determination and analysis of the network of links between these places within the boundaries of the city
Special objective 4 : Simultaneous use of the city's tourist spots to attract tourism by strengthening appropriate links
1-4 research questions
Question 1_Does Kashan city use its tourism capabilities as it deserves?
Question 2_How can a suitable link be established between Kashan city's tourist spots using network analysis?
